The Republican party for so long tied itself to the SOUTHERN strategy. Its main focus was making white males feel that they were being oppressed, whether by women, blacks, hispanics, homosexuals , whatever group that could be demonized for political gain. Because of the demographics and the culture of the time this was very effective strategy, and brought repubs power and room to push their agenda pushing to destroy our govt and middle class.

Well the demographics are in transition right now and enough whites have shaken off the cloud of ignorance and minorities and women have equal rights to vote. The true leaders of the Repubs who look to the future want to moderate and make the tent bigger but unfortunately for now too many of those folks that they fed hate and bigotry will not allow the repubs to moderate and accept others. This will pass this fringe tea-party crap will pass after it costs the repubs seats in the coming months, this by all historical accounts should be a Rebub tidal wave in congress and the senate but thanks to the extremism and racism of the rebulican nutjobs it'll be no worse than a flooded bath tub. The tea-partiers are gonna be put in the attic like the crazy biatches that they are.

Its a generational thing, when the majority of the rep base who feel this way DIE OUT, the natural course of things will even up and people will hopefully pick sides out of ideology NOT racism , sexism and homophobia.

I feel our 2 party system sux ballz and both sides are owned by transnationals so who really gives a ph**k. But it is nice to share my opinion on this subject.

Homophobia = fear of homosexuals...

The anti-homo people just dislike homos...They are not afraid of them...

A few are indeed homo-haters,but the term "homophobia " is wrong in any case...

Fear and phobia are linked. Most homo-haters feel threatened by the presence of homosexuality in society. It's not as simple as, for example, having a distaste for certain foods.

The 2nd Amendment states that the right to BEAR arms shall not be infringed...
Not only it is... infringed,but gun carry is prohibited in (the better) half the area of any city...
Wherever you go you see "no-gun" signs...

The Dems held majority in Congress for 40 years till 1994.

When the Repubs took over,what did they do..?
They...shut down the gov...( Then,they...started it back again)...

Not only they did not end SS & Medicare,the 2 cornerstones of USA socialism,but they...expanded Medicare...

They fight wars abroad because they cannot win over the socialists at home.

They just jerk off with the top income tax rate,as if the 15% & 28% rates are...good...

Let's hear your comments on the chronic Repub impotency to win majorities in Congress & most important,to bring true changes...

You may also vote...
Where are you getting the idea the Republicans can not win? Shutting down the government? That was done under Reagan in his first year. It lasted about a day and the Dems were in control.

You can say what you want about SS and Medicare, but I certainly do not call either program socialism. They are insurance plans everyone pays into. If this is what you call socialism, every program supported by the government is socialism, including welfare assistance, unemployment benefits, etc.

As for income tax rates where are you getting 40% and do you have any idea what they are in some other countries?

some of you seem to think he is saying, they can't get elected? I dont think that is what he means, he is referring to their not getting anything done. This has nothing to do with comments like "they are tied to religion" for instance.

hahaha, I agree. If the Republicans would be the party of small government on all grounds, they would be unbeatable.

I love how most Republicans love the DEA and won't back down on pot or other private moral issue, such as gay marriage, prostitution, etc. yet they claim to be constitutionalist. Where in the constitution is the federal government allowed to regulate these things? Absolutely no where. This is why I don't trust the Tea Party even though I am a fiscal conservative, very much oppose to Obama and the Democrat's policies. I don't see them as intellectually honest. Some are, but from their mainstream supporters, like Hannity, I know most are not.

That O'Donnel lady just told a group in Iowa that the values voters are the original Tea Partiers. Give me a break. Small government on all fronts please or shut your self rightous mouth.

Phobia=fearfulness (in greek).

People don't fear homos...

They just find them an easy target to exercise their social fascism of prohibition,tyranny,imposition of their will.

Homos are to them what the blacks were back in 19th century... A weak target for supression...
