It is aimed at Hispanics who don't speak the language well, or at all. So, yes, it is racist. You don't hear people complaining that they have to press 1 for Polish, 2 for German, 3 for Russian, 4 for Swedish, etc.

English Only isn't being aimed at those who speak Russian..or Mandarin Chinese, for that matter. It is specifically addressing the proliferation of Spanish, and is in opposition to those who speak it, as a raza.

It is racism when the race in question speaks a language other than English that the English Only people are specifically seeking to eradicate.
There are more Mandarin Chinese speakers worldwide than Spanish, but the advocates of English Only aren't targeting Mandarin Chinese, they're targeting Spanish.
The U.S. has no official language, and it doesn't need to have one. Become multilingual. There's nothing wrong with you knowing SEVERAL languages to communicate with others. After all, Americans traveling abroad expect the people to know how to speak English.

The objective of English Only in the school system is for the benefit of kids who will be at a disadvantage if they do not learn English. Young kids can learn another language very easy. I have personal experience there.
If everyone in the USA could speak English fluently, we would all be better off.

Tell me why they're targeting Spanish, since it's the second most common language in usage in the U.S. Hispanics are a separate race, as recognized by the government....and as a group, they are the ones who speak Spanish and are targeted by such groups.

I speak English, Spanish and Russian.....If I moved to China I would not expect anyone to be able to communicate with me.
I would do my best to learn the local Chinese dialect. And I wouldn't accuse any of the natives as being racist for expecting me to complete said task.
If they expected you, as a white person, to speak Chinese, they would be racist against you, gweilo.
