A hero yes, a RINO at his worse, yes and for Pres. he is way past his prime. Right now he is 73, he will be 75 plus in 2012. Not exactly what most want from their President, plus his wife hates politics. Any other suggestion from you?
Powell is about the only republican with a conscious and calls out the stupidity that the right does. It got him thrown under the bus by bush, but gained much respect by others.
Colin Powell is a spineless, robotic fool. To begin with, he's a Republican. All of his sensible words can't hide the fact that he is a member of a party that also contains klansmen, clueless policymakers, absolute imbeciles like Palin and Bush, and the most narrow-minded, racially-insensitive people in this country. He's a walking paradox. He was also used by the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld bunch to present their LIE about non-existent WMDs to gain congressional approval to pursue that failed ideological war. I can understand his making such a presentation not knowing that it was a lie, BUT ONCE HE FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS, he didn't stand up for principle. Where the hell is this man's sense of integrity? Where was his outrage at the deception? He was used to present a lie which led to millions of people being negatively impacted, and once he became aware of this, he didn't speak out against it. He's a shadow.
The words of this spineless Pub shadow miss the mark when compared to the integrity, dignity, strength, intelligence, versatility, and thorough contemplation and successful execution of our current president. Powell once was revered, now he speaks from the peanut gallery. He certainly is moderate...moderately irrelevant.
Obama here till 2016...and don't you forget it either.
