Christian worshippers attacked in Indonesia - thestar.com

Reminder, the "Pastor" never burned any Korans, and said he never will. So why did someone even try to blame him for this?

How about expecting some tolerance from muslims for non muslims?

The media won't report much on this. It's only concerned when Muslims might be offended.

In my original thread, someone actually blamed the pastor, and not the people who attacked the christians!

And no Muslim-lovers will respond to this thread because they're completely fine with Christians being killed (or Jews or Hindus or Buddhists or animists) by their beloved Muslims. No problem here, move on.

It would be nice if those rights and privileges we enjoy in the U.S. could go with us when we travel to foreign countries but they don't. And they aren't going to.

Much of the larger world out there has no intention of adopting western civilities.

According to the media, we are far more intolerant here. Notice all the calls for tolerance on/after 9/11 yet no calls for not kililng christians in Indonesia or wherever else?

When I did a search of muslims attack christians, this topic did not come up. Had to find it using Indonesia. Amazing how fast the liberals here let this topic vanish. Come on! Islam is the religion of peace! Here's a nation that has the highest percentage of muslims. They should be happy. But they're not happy until 100% of their population is muslim. Just the idea that Christians were on their way to worship (with a woman minister) was enough to get one stabbed and the minister beaten. Real peaceful religion.

From the article linked in the OP: "Leading the charge against the Batak Christians has been the Islamic Defenders Front, which is pushing for the implementation of Islamic-based laws in Bekasi and other parts of the nation.

They are known for smashing bars, attacking transvestites and going after those considered blasphemous with bamboo clubs and stones. They also pressured the local government early this year to shutter the Batak church.

Perpetrators are rarely punished or even questioned by police."

Once again you are grouping all muslims because of the actions of a few radical extremist. Even the report which you posted says that Indonesia is a place of well known tolerance for others.

Really? Tell that to the Australians who were blown up in nighclub bombings or the church that was forced to shut down due to muslim threats.
