Since they were prohibited by current military regulations from revealing their sexual orientation, I cannot determine who is gay or not gay.

Furthermore, unit cohesion was not effected by gay service members being present since no one knew they were gay.

Thank you for making an effective argument against gays openly serving in the military.

Nice job SLCPUNK!

You have a rep coming from me.

I'd also like all our troops to get to vote on their preference. They have to serve, let them choose.
Secret ballots like the rest of the USA.

What civilians think doesn't matter. Popular opinion doesn't matter in war.

Civil rights are for all Americans, you don't get to vote on them.
You know, the tyranny of the majority and all...

If that's how it worked, blacks and Jews wouldn't have been admitted into the military for decades, at least.

I am sorry, but this is such a horrible way, to get one's point across, at the cost of our brave Men and Women soldiers who have died in the line of fire on our behalf. This is such a distasteful thread, i am just outraged. This should not be on here, i could give a damn if a solider is Gay or not, ok to all of you, they are out there just as those who are straight, serving their Country, you have a problem with this, it is your prboblem. Exactly what is your point. Get over your Gay PHOBIAS, because this is the kind of crap that is going around, if you choose to stay ignorant. Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Catholic, Jewish, Gay or Straight, they are serving our Country, there familes have made sacrifices because of this fact. I don't give a crap, who is protecting us, I applaud, all who serve in our Militarty.

In the end, does it really matter if a soldier is gay or straight? These men and women have sacraficed their lives for our country. No soldier's life is worth more than any other. Any idiot knows that.
