Gay GOP group gives Cornyn award after 'no' vote to move on DADT repeal - TheHill.com

Of course, Cornyn had a "prior engagement" and could not attend. These Log Cabin guys either have a lot of patience or are self-flagellating.

I meant that facetiously. I was referring to the Log Cabin guys. they are trying to court a party of bigots that does NOT want them. I don't know whether to feel pity for them or think that they are just stupid. So, I say "God Bless em".

It is unbelievable that a homosexual could align with a political party that hates them. But there are uncle Tom house Negroes that aligned with the slavemasters too.

There was nothing racist about that, quit looking to point the finger out because you feel guilty about something.

It is not racist. It is a fact. The LC gays are no different than the old Uncle Tom negroes were. Ever since the black people began the quest for freedom and equality, some of the WORST enemies have not been hooded white people burning crosses but Uncle Toms (mainly paid off black preachers and "community leaders") who opposed them. They were happy being house slaves and they were happy being 2nd class citizens. When Martin Luther King went into Chicago in 1966 to demand that black citizens actually be allowed to live where they want and could afford, his biggest opposition was not Daley and the dumb whites in Marquette Park but the so called black preachers of that day. They were happy with the status quo of stuffing black people into high rise ghettos where the preachers could control and influence them.
The gay Republicans are really no different. Most of them are well to do gays, they do not suffer very much from being 2nd class citizens because their money insulates them from suffering so they think a tax cut for millionaires is more important than citizenship rights of their fellow homosexuals. Different day, same old stuff. I call them "house gays".

I'm a gay white male. Do I go with the party that is anti-gay, or do I go with the party that very often seems to be anti-white male?

Yes, I disagree with most republicans on the gay rights issues, but I disagree with the democrats on just about everything else. I'm not a single issue voter, I just have to check the list and weigh the options. I really wish we could go back to the way it was in the late 90's, when we had a moderate democrat President working with a republican congress, I don't want either side having total control. Unfortunately this President we have today is far from moderate.

In which ways is Obama a "Liberal" except healthcare? He caves in to the Repubs with everything else. Case in point, we still don't have DADT or DOMA repealed nor ENDA passed despite that he (obama) promised to do so. . In which ways have the Dems worked against the white male? I would really like to know. I don't see much difference betw Obama's or Bush's administrations.
Clinton just promised a bunch of things and then threw us under the bus. He signed DADT and DOMA. Some friend. How can that possibly seem OK to you?
If the Repugs win this Nov, you may get your wish from Obama as he dives to the right to save his worthless butt.
