Israel, or at least the Likkud Party, is no friend of ours. The Saudi Royals are no friend of ours either. I believe we do not have any friends in the Middle East. We only have enemies and client states. I would do nothing if Iran freed us of these pests.

I have read that the Iranians now have a non-nuclear capacity to destroy our Navy in the Persian Gulf with terminally guided ballistic missiles. Starting a war with Iran just to please some right wing warmongers and defense department contractors is sheer idiocy. We would have everything to lose and absolutely nothing to gain. We do not need another oil war. We need to end the wars that are sapping out economy right now. We need to stop supporting anyone in the Middle East and just let them settle their own differences.

The only thing without limits would be the the amount of damage to his country. The truth is Iran is no more capable of waging war with the US as Iraq was. The US military is light years ahead of the rest of the world. Saddam found that out the hard way.

Oh please, our soldiers ARE NOT TOYS! They are for DEFENSE of the United States of America, NOT for your (or Israel's or anybody else's) war games!

My statement was concerning the hypothetical capabilities of the respective militaries, not a judgment on the morality of the conflict.
That being said, military confrontation is a fact of life, and always has been. It will not change now, or in the foreseeable future, so my advice to you is to go pick some flowers, or hug a tree, or whatever it is the anti war people do. Then relax and try to realize that until people change, wars will continue, and as that is the case, it is always better to be on the side that wins.
