They are on lunch. They are going back to work under the influence of drugs and beer. That is illegal. Smoking a joint is against the law regardless of if its before or after
Do you think they should be going back to work high? Dont you think thats a risk for any business?
Do you think the high went away in 10 mins?
My son is picking up a new Jeep on Saturday and hoping that none of those guys worked on it on the assembly line. He almost decided against the purchase when he heard about this one and he heard it on the radio without seeing the videos.
When someone calls this staged I see real ignorance being exhibited especially since I saw the Chrysler execs talking today about these guys being suspended indefinitely. I guess that reporter at the local station caused more unemployed people by doing his job. He said that he has the best investigative team in the country but that if he told how he got that footage he would have to "kill whoever he told". He likes his job it seems.
My wife wants one of those Grand Cherokees. I guess I need to show her this video.
These a-holes should be fired! There are plenty of people out there who would love to work and don't need to be stoned to do this job.
Hey, Tom, my son is picking up a new Grand Cherokee, LTD Saturday and wondering if any of those EIGHT guys touched it. I told him to just take it on faith and hope they or others like them didn't touch it.
I still think it was all faked by FOX for thier own benefit. Even if it did happend how many of you perfect employees have ever had a beer, whisky or a joint on your lunch break?
Would smoking cigarettes at that time of day apply to your suggestion? If so I am very guilty since I smoked at my teaching jobs for over 20 years before I finally wised up.

Check under the seats and behind the door panels
as something might have fallen out
You got that right. Some of the people in this thread are acting like they had a keg in the middle of the plant and all 3,000 employees where taking part in a free-for-all. The GM plants up here in Michigan are the same way as the Ford plant your husband worked in. No one wants to work with someone whose been drinking and the company is quick to deal with people who get caught.
If nobody wants to work with people who are playing that game at lunch hour, do they unhook their olfactory lobes when those guys come back to work smelling like that special kind of smoke and/or beer? Surely someone had to smell them if they weren't smelling the same way.
Who knows how many of those, I think the execs said 2500 employs, were playing the same game.
My wife got a real kick out of the vehicles those guys came to the meeting in. One old beat up Buick, one Ford Mustang, and some kind of SUV. Those guys were really loyal to their employer, weren't they? Of course, they had inside knowledge about what kind of people built the cars in their factory.
You're making stuff up, at least this scenario is not in evidence, and you're demonizing people for something that you made up.
What sense does this make?
This scenario is very much in evidence, right now, other than the part about them getting full pay. The exec I heard talking about it didn't say there were being paid but that they were suspended.
greg insists it's all a hideous plot by fox news. and tightwad has been yowling that this is a 'prudish, judgemental response' against 'fellow citizens' whose 'rights are being attacked.'
The funniest thing about Greg W is that he doesn't know that those local Fox channels have no connection with Fox News other than the letters fox in their names. So many liberals think that the Fox entertainment channels are part of Fox News and that is only so in the world of liberals.
I hate snitches. What a few workers do on the job is none of my business. Some people drink on the job all the time. It even has a name: The three martini lunch.
That three martini lunch has been mentioned here by the poster who said that since white collar employers are liable to do this the blue collar ones should be allowed to stuff that same amount of alcohol into a thirty minute lunch break.
What those few workers do no lunch break means a lot to me if I am buying whatever they produced. In this case I am really perturbed because who knows what bolts they didn't get tightened or anything else that would affect the safety of my passengers.
