Warren Buffett gives away his fortune June 25 2006
This news was indeed stunning. Buffett, 75, has for decades said his wealth would go to philanthropy but has just as steadily indicated the handoff would be made at his death. Now he was revising the timetable.
Since "the oracle of Omaha" purchased a significant portion of Goldman-Sachs the morning the bailout was announced, I suggest the government start there, in Warren's pocket, at Goldman-Sachs.

He didn't give it to the government though like he is suggesting other people do. He CHOSE to do that, he didn't have the money taken from him from the government. Funny how you guys hate free choice and think the government can only do it right, but champion this guy CHOOSING where his money goes. Is there any issue at all where you guys stand by your values and principles or is it whatever fits your agenda?

refer to comment above.
Exactly! But he's most likely got most of his money hidden from Uncle Sam. Quite funny that these billionaires say these things, but they don't pony up a damn thing and just hand it over to the government like they suggest others do. Then you have the socialists here that say that the government is the only ones to spread out the money right, but then go on to champion someone like Buffet who CHOOSES where his money goes.
