To your first part-- the tea party is not equally critical. It's a dem bashing fest from day one, and a demand for a new republican identity to reinstate their social conservative brickbats of yesteryear. They also mean to revive Reagan from the grave believing his economic policy to be the gold standard. That delusion is not something the rest of us care to live out again.

I would welcome a healthy version of conservative, particularly fiscal conservative. Unfortunately there are too many nutters running amok leading GOP around to distraction.

We can agree that people do want a government to be by the people for the people. Unfortunately these people have no clue how their good intentions are being misled by wrongful assessments of cause and effect. I'd say the system we have in place right now is ill, and so long as media and 2 party ideology are rewarded for having south pointed at north, liberals vs cons, haves vs have nots, we as a nation will continue to squander our heritage until there's nothing left to fight for. It's too profitable to walk away from the easy money of instigating strife when you're selling weapons to both sides.

According to a 2010 article on Koch Industries and the billionaire Koch brothers in The New Yorker, the advocacy wing of Americans for Prosperity organized a July 4th 2010 weekend summit called Defending the American Dream in Austin, TX. Five hundred people attended the summit, which The New Yorker said served, in part, as a training session for Tea Party activists in Texas. An advertisement cast the event as a populist uprising against vested corporate power: “Today, the voices of average Americans are being drowned out by lobbyists and special interests. But you can do something about it” without making any mention of its corporate funders. The White House has expressed frustration that such sponsors have largely eluded public notice - David Axelrod, President Obama’s senior adviser, said, “What they don’t say is that, in part, this is a grassroots citizens’ movement brought to you by a bunch of oil billionaires.”[28]...'

'The Tea Party Movement is a Scam

By E.J. Dionne, columnist September 23, 2010

WASHINGTON -- Is the tea party one of the most successful scams in American political history?...'
The article begins with a good premise:

Before you dismiss the question, note that word "successful." Judge the tea party purely on the grounds of effectiveness and you have to admire how a very small group has shaken American political life and seized the microphone offered by the media, including the so-called liberal media.

However, what also is true is that many "a very small group has shaken American political life" on both sides of the idealogical spectrum. Examples are too numerous to point out that suggest that the American public has long been, shall we say guided, by input from a very small group of organized voices.

Good? Bad? What is certain is that it is what it is.

The left is so stupid and so easily led by the nose. The Tea Party movement (which is a name coined by the left to begin with) was started by the supporters of Ron Paul. I would like anyone to prove Ron Paul is in bed with anyone.

The bottom line is the Tea Party movement scares the left to the core. The people are finally pushing back against the insanity and destruction of the leftists.

Again, here's your darling Nancy Pelosi... I guess you agree that she's going off the deep end then?

1. I am not a Democrat

2. I am not from California, nor do I vote for Nancy Pelosi.

Do I need to post links to specific Republican representatives where they are saying crazy stuff?

So lets see where most people are saying things like that against the Tea Party.

The charge is that the Tea Party is a conservative movement, under a different name. Hence, the fraud.
