U.N. Security Council votes to condemn Iraq

The United Nations Security Council late Thursday voted unanimously to condemn Iraq and to demand that Baghdad immediately resume cooperation with U.N. weapons inspectors. Baghdad has already said it will not comply.

The resolution called Iraq's decision last week to halt cooperation with the U.N. Special Commission a "flagrant violation" of the 1991 resolution on Iraqi disarmament. It is the 45th U.N. resolution involving Iraq since the country invaded Kuwait in 1990.

All of this could have been prevented if we had only made Iraq our 51st State - earlier.

Wow, you got it right. Probably educated by someone from the Tea Party.
Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden were enemies and Saddam never permitted al-Qaeda into Iraq fearing his secular government would be challenged.

Bull ****...

In 2008, Bush would claim on national television and without being challenged by ABC's Charles Gibson that he had to attack Iraq because "Saddam Hussein was unwilling to let the inspectors go in to determine whether or not the U.N. resolutions were being upheld." He said this despite the fact that Saddam had actually invited UN weapons inspectors back into the country in November of 2007, the same inspectors Bush ordered to leave Iraq on March 17, 2003, in order to begin the bombardment.

You asked:
to all those who are 100% anti-war: please answer these questions
1. on Sep 10, 2001, who was the U.S. #1 enemy or threat?

On 9/10/2001, I would have ranked Al-Qaeda as a bigger threat than Saddam. Iraq was contained and history has proven my judgment (in this case) correct. Our preemptive strike on Iraq easily eliminated Saddam, but invigorated Al-Qaeda. Nine years later we are still struggling with Al-Qaeda and Saddam is long gone.

There are many threats in the world, there are very few of those threats will be eliminated by military actions.

Saddam did let the weapons inspectors in many times... but he also kicked them out early many times too. he never allowed them to do their job.
Were you even paying attention? This part of the Iraq war was common knowledge. Like I said... if the UN weapons inspectors were allowed to do their job then why did they not report it that way?

Yes we eliminated Saddam. A salute to our military

most Americans would have answered Saddam. So, our attack on Iraq invigorated Al-Quada? ok, but we killed most of those in Iraq.
yes, we are still struggling with Al Quada, but they are much weaker than 2001.

Someone needed more time to remove the "Made in the U.S.A." labels.
