SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- A senior Mormon leader said in a sermon Sunday in Salt Lake City same-sex attraction can be overcome and non-heterosexual unions are morally wrong.
lets talk about choice... I'm pretty sure people choose to be christian/mormon.. and if they choose to follow what these disgusting people preach.. then they're choosing to be bigots... nobody is born a bigot...
"I love the church.. but just disagree on this issue" I hear this all the time by mormons...it's chickensh*t..
people cling to religion because it provides emotional security and answers when we as humans have none.. nevermind the fact that what these religions spew is utter rubbish and now we're learning ignorant and hateful...
it's like mindless sheep following some fat white old man who claims authority for himself in the name of god.. I mean really?
Its time that people realize that Sexuality is fluid in nature and can change at any stage of life. Certain sexual traits are addictions, and some persons who think they might be gay or bisexual may simply have a sex addiction. There is no way that homosexuality is a innate characteristic of a person. It really is a shame that there is so much mythology surrounding this topic.

Ridiculous. Here's a better version of what you wrote: When certain individuals decide that they know better than what decades of research into sexual orientation have shown, there is no hope for their bigotry.
Too bad being gay isn't a mental illness. Must be hard on homophobes.
I don't think hardcore homophobes are capable of feeling remorse or of reexamining their bigoted opinions.
