During a taped meeting with Nevada tea party leaders, Sharron Angle attempts to convince the group that running a third party candidate in Nevada will hand the election over to Harry Reid. "Angle expressed disdain for the national GOP, which she says she now has “in a box” because she won the primary, which caused the DC types after her June 8 victory to still be “moaning and groaning and weeping and gnashing teeth over Sue Lowden.” Later, she tries to persuade Ashjian to endorse her because she will have “juice” he can tap into to get access to Sens. Jim DeMint, Tom Coburn and Mitch McConnell."

Angle: “The Republicans have lost their standards, they’ve lost their principles…..Really that’s why the machine in the Republican Party is fighting against me…..They have never really gone along with lower taxes and less government.”

My question....so....does that mean that according to the tea party, the republicans are all liberal socialists/communists too?

I could care less what they do, except that I'm realizing just how out there these people are. I'm a very moderate republican that votes independent or dem now. I've been called a liberal, socialist or communist more times on this board than I can shake a stick at for very moderate views. It finally hit me that the tea party voters consider the REPUBLICANS--pretty much the entire party--left wing radical liberals. Doesn't that concern anyone else? We're not talking about republican politics as usual here--this is a whole new and pretty scary situation. People on the fringe of both parties have run for elected office before, but rarely is it more than a few at a time, and rarely do so many have a chance of winning.

The republicans keep getting further and further to the right by the day. Long gone are the common sense moderate republicans of the past, today they are extremely far right. Showing any kind of reasonable views on topics will get you called a RINO and run out of town. Candidates are now pretty much forced to follow it, or lose office. What's even worse is the tea party takes this right wing extremism to a whole new level. If they got any more right, they'll fall off the map. It's pretty much a fascist group.

I agree with her.

Why in the hell do you all think she won the primary against the machine?

A big to do, over something that has already been established in the primaries.

Everyone is PO'ed at the Republicans, well the people are getting rid of them and replacing them with the peoples voice.

^^ needs people to ignore that the left is going further and further to the left. Republicans are just going back to their basic belief that they got away from. But the reason that seems so far to the right is because of how far to the left the democrats have gone.

Democratic party is no longer democrats they have been taken over by progressives. Lets be honest here
