Lame jokes aside, had they been witches, they would have been welcome. The AFL-CIO or other Democrat shills... nope.

WTF are you talking about? I guess you have a hard time reading... Check out my OP again.

BTW, can't you get a complete thought out the first time? At least twice you've edited a post in this thread to add information. It'd be nice to not have to read your posts multiple times to make sure something isn't being slipped in "under the radar."

The only reason I answered him was because I hadn't heard of the organization before - I never would have helped him by answering had I known he was from a union org. We had someone similar come by last week, too. We also had a guy show up before the 2008 election and actually ARGUED with me about Obama - way to promote your candidate, right?

So WTF is a UNION doing with our names and our address? How did they get them? My best guess is that they got the info from our voting registrations, on which we're both registered as Libertarians. They must see us as independents, and our votes as quite valuable in this very tight race.

We also had someone show up last week at 9:30 PM selling his religion. Nine-thirty at night!!!

So last night the sign went up. I'm sick of this crap, and I expect that it's only going to get worse until after the election. The next person that knocks on our door soliciting anything - money, our opinion, our eternal soul - is going to catch a MAJOR ration of s**t. I've had it with these clowns.
You (and I) have gotten it wrong... ive been called by liberals I am not going to vote for this election and I was short and got off the phone quick.

what I should have done was keep them on the line for as long as possible to drive down their contact numbers.

the longer they spend with someone that wont vote for their candidate, the better it is for my guy...

so next time working america comes calling, invite them in and offer them a cup of tea!

LOL!

Our voter rolls still have to be cross checked against the directory to sort voters by household and address, but I live in a rural area where we can't seem to get our act together with technology. The group wasn't a campaign though--it's a community organizing group.

Comeback to what?

I would expect that you guys, being lefties, would respect the "no religious solicitors" part. Oh, that's right. I've been labeled a "right winger" in the forum, so it doesn't matter what I do - it's always wrong, bad, evil, etc.

That is what Obama told them to do, and they obeyed

"I want you to argue with them, get in their face"

Barack Obama

Nice sign. Are you certain it doesn't need to be bi-lingual, braille, and include visual figure signs?

Once your sign complies so that undocumented canvassers and blind lemmings can also read it the following two words after instructing them to leave once: Pepper Spray.

I no longer answer my door. I can see who it is without opening it and just speak to them through the door to instruct them to "LEAVE NOW, you are tresspassing". Too many home invasions to do otherwise. I do keep pepper spray hanging next to the door.

When electioneers approach me in the parking lot of the polling place I tell them to turn around because it doesn't matter who their candidate is, I'll vote against him/her if they try to utter a single word.

Election canvassers are kind of like seagulls at the beach. They might be entertaining to watch near someone else but when they bring their cr*p your direction and start harrassing your looking for tidbits it is more than annoying.

I used to take this approach and tie them up for as long as possible, but my time's too valuable to me now. I'm working 12-14 hours per day, and don't want to waste time dealing with them, plain and simple.

I did read your post--did you? You stated that people came to the door, asked for you by name, and then asked for your girlfriend by name. You wondered why an organization sponsored by AFL-CIO members would have that information. I answered you--it's public record. So you're yammering on because??

Again, sorry to burst your bubble that there isn't a conspiracy going on by "liberal socialist/communists" to track you at home--although your theory that I'm trying to "slip in something under the table" makes me think you're inclined to see them to begin with. Sorry--just I'm just pre-coffee. Regardless, you're rude. Not everyone is out to "pull something over." Medication might help.
