First of all, lets actually see if it is the coldest winter in 1000 years, and if it is THEN speculate as to why. What happens if it turns out to be your standard winter most are familiar with, is everything in the world bunk?
You better break out yer woolies. I got me old bones and not in a bag, and they say cold. Now I haven't been around 1000 years yet, but I still know that feel of cold, and it will be. Too cold to snow much.

Another proof is my right shoulder is hitched up lame, which is tellin'.

Excellent point. While earth's climate is affected by orbit, tilt etc., the biggest factor is the "furnace", and how fast and hot it burns. No doubt, the next ice age is coming - maybe not soon, but it IS on its way. When it does, people will prey for global warming, or hand warming, or feet warming, or just about any kind of warming they can get.
