I think the disrespect comes when people refer to him as "Obamama,Obongo, Barack Hussein Obama(they emphasize the "Hussein" as if he is evil.
Or the idiotic poster who wrote that doesn't sound "American". First off,America isn't an ethnicity or language,so were do you came off saying"it doesn't sound American?
Saying Obama shows too much respect for him. I will stick with 0bama
Barbara Boxer got her panties in a bunch when someone addressed her as ma'am instead of Senator. She said she "worked hard" for that title and demanded respect!
He has to earn the title and so far he has not earned it at all.
If anything he has personally weakened the job of all those Presidents before him.
He has made a mockery of the job.
I gave him his own very title which he has earned.
Presidunce Barrack Hussein Obama.
As you can tell from the polling numbers, the entire dem party falling apart and the majority of people who do not approve of his job and his bankrupting of our country he is not too well liked like he was.
Face it, the shine has worn off of the toxic excuse of a Presidunce.
Maybe we need to put a star beside his name on the list of all of those men who held the office before him. Kinda like Sosa and McGwire type of thing where they cheated and need their name withdrawn from the rest of the players. Same for him, he needs his name separated from the rest because he is a massive failure who is a classless anti American waste of time in our WH.
Actually it's touching that a young person would be offended. He's been raised to see addressing an adult by his last name as disrespectful, and it is really.

Obama isn't just some random "adult", he's the mess in the white house who deserves no more and no less respect than any other sitting POTUS has ever been given.

I get the feeling you extend Obama far less respect than you've extended "any other sitting POTUS."
So, you think little boys shouldn't be offended to hear people in positions of honor -- it sounds as if to this boy that's the president, teachers, dads, the men of his neighborhood -- called by their last names?
Bottom line, 0bama has not done anything to deserve respect from me.
