The radical Muslims are the footsoldiers in the trenches blowing up themselves and others, the quiet pious Muslims sit back and let the fur fly while they constantly remind you of how "innocent" they truly are and how peaceful and virtuous Islam is while their religion infects the world with lies while they knock their foreheads on rugs 5 times a day dreaming of one day reaping the entire world after slaying all the infidels.

You could argue that the troubles were political/territorial as much as they were protestant vs. catholic.
