I so hope this begins a trend of more people in leadership positions speaking out against the dangers of Islam.

And what is the goal - to make Islam illegal in the U.S.? Or just to vilify those who are affiliated with it?

The goal is to wake up the stupid people so that we all might have a chance to save ourselves. What was the goal of recognizing the dangers of Nazism?

If the "peaceful Muslims" felt more heat from a wary citizenry, they'd be more motivated to protect the good life they've got here in America, find their moral center and start doing what they should have done from the start -- condemning those among them who are barbaric murderers instead of making excuses or acting defensive.

Islam needs to be condemned in the strongest terms UNLESS AND UNTIL significant measures are taken to reform it so that it is not a threat to others.

I hardly think that a Rabbi is going to be impartial on this. They do have a slight history of animosity Jews and Muslims, you know.

There are those who would say that Orthodoxy in any religion is like Fascism. This includes Orthodox Rabbis. It gets really old when Jews play the Nazi card for the billionth time on a totally unrelated matter.

Good luck with that. I think you'll be fighting that fight for the rest of your life.

In the meantime, we have freedom of religion in this country. As long as people in this country are obeying our laws, they are free to affiliate with whatever religion they choose.

Yet you'd apologize for them if they strapped on bombs instead.

you just don't get it do you? what good is our freedom if terrorists take it away? What if it was your family or friends that were killed on 9-11 or as members of the US military?

Freedom means that you have free will, free choice. And, our president has a choice of whether to attack the terrorists or to let them regroup. Obama doesn't want to make the tough decisions... he is just trying to ride it out, and let the next president deal with it
