I say legalize pot for people without children, or who have children over 18. Although, there should be exceptions to this rule. Perhaps people who want to to use MJ would think twice about having kids. Just a thought. As usual, I'm talking about a global law, here. Cut down population, calm the citizens, cut out the cartels...

What does having kids have to do with anything? And you do realize, I hope, the impossibility of enforcing something that is legal, then not, then legal again like you suggest. Or not, most crazy ideas don't have a lot of logical or PRACTICAL thought behind them.

a judge in Florida shot down Governor's Scott's plan to drug test welfare recipients as being UnConstitutional due to privacy rights! Where is the "Tea Party" on this?

This is all I was thinking: A lot of the people who are against legalizing pot are GOP types; people who believe that everybody who smokes is going to neglect their kids, party, neglect the housework, etc. So, if they were truly concerned about The Children when determining whether or not to legalize, I thought something like this might help them along.

This world isn't very practical. I'm just trying to work wonders in Wonderland.

Legalize it. It already is decriminalized in many cities, anyway. Nothing good comes from keeping it illegal, it isn't really harmful, and we could put the money, police, and jail space to better uses.

Also, since many forms of welfare are federal benefits, not state benefits, we are all affected.
Long Island is part of New York, not Pennsylvania. This thread started in the Long Island, NY forum.

Until Congress, the senate and the President are forced to take mandatory drug test since their decessions effects us all and we pay their salaries, no one on welfare should be tested either!

It seems like it would be easier to give everyone jobs and responsibilities so they don't have the time to do drugs.
