The idea that liberals will LIE to an American face just to win votes... makes me sick... is there no limit to how low they can stoop?

Federal Election Commission opinions state that organizations taking in foreign money may make political donations legally, so long as they have "a reasonable accounting method" to keep foreign money separate and have enough money from U.S. sources to cover the donations.

The chamber says it does receive money from foreign sources, but that it amounts to only a small fraction of the chamber’s $200 million budget

Tita Freeman, told us that the chamber gets about $100,000 per year through American Chambers of Commerce overseas

So all of this fake outrage is because the Chamber receives .0005% of their budget from outside the country?

If they are not lying, why not open the books and settle it? If they did that and it proves the Dems are lying, wouldn't that be good campaign fodder?

They should open their books but Obama, Gibbs, Soros, ACORN and all the other Alinskites are perfectly okay with closed books locked away in a vault guarded by straight-up lies... Gotcha.

If there is a possibility that they are usurping our election process, it is my business. It is all of our business.

This summer, watchdog groups asked both campaigns to share more information about its small donors. The McCain campaign agreed; the Obama campaign did not. "They could've done themselves a service" by heeding the suggestions, said Massie Ritsch of the Center for Responsive Politics.

Gibbs' group categorically refused to disclose its funders until the law compelled it to do so -- i.e., months later, once the Dean campaign was destroyed. Just read this Dec. 16, 2003, New York Times article on the controversy to see how similar this was, and how hypocritical it is for Robert Gibbs of all people to be trumpeting "the fundamental threat to our democracy" posed by nondisclosure of campaign funding sources:

Yes, Floridabob was all fine and dandy with ACORN because they made it clear who they supported. Well so is the Chamber..

I dare say if the Bush admin was making such a charge, without a shred of evidence to back it up, you would not be advocating the same.

The Left would have oodles more credibility IF they had insisted obama open his books in 2008, that the unions and other leftist org open theirs. They have zero credibility because of it.

Amazing! You weren't so concerned when the dems were raising oodles of cash, but now that they having a bit of difficulty, all of a sudden, campaign donations are bad, bad things.

KEEP FOREIGN INTERESTS OUT OF OUR GOVERNMENT
Wow, look at the 0-bots going to town like good little soldiers.

The 0bama machine goes out on a baseless attack, and all the little forum bots pick it up.

The SEIU gets a lot of money from foreign sources too, and they pumped tens of millions into 0bama's campaign, and they never have opened their books to us. Heck, the SEIU is giving $5 million to Brown in the CA governor's race, and the SEIU still is not opening its books.
