-Why are there so few conservative comedians?
-Telling the truth is a serious matter.

Right wing whack-a-doodle gutless fear mongers have popular shows but I have yet to see anything like a William Buckley or the National Review on the tube. None of the current mouth breathers could carry Buckley's water bucket, because they are sensation peddlers reading from a script and are of the lowest kind, not thinkers, no conservatives, not even very bright.
Too classy for me.

Conservatives have Fox, talk radio, and the internet. Liberals have ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, NPR, CNN, MSNBC, Time, Newsweek, and most newspapers to spread their agenda.

Default Why Are Conservative Talk Show Hosts So Popular?

Because I've listened to the competition and they DON'T impress me:

Executive Summary

Take the time and listen to a few of them.

Exactly. Supply and demand right there. By the way liberals have the internet as well.

Doesn't Oprah leave the rest of the media star wannabes in her Oprah dust? I dunno, that's just the conventional wisdom.

As long as Bill O'Reilly continues to trounce Keith Olbermann and Eliot Spitzer at 8PM nightly, that's fine with me and millions of other American citizens.

They are not "the king of ratings". They are "the king of ratings" on AM radio which is usually under many FM stations in the markets. For example WABC AM home to Sean Hannity is rated 10th in NYC- behind an FM Spanish station which is 3rd. Think of what else is on AM radio- spanish, polka and sports.

Sorry, when you asked...

... I didn't realize the "political" was implied. One of these days we humans will develop our telepathic potential. Until then, don't bust my chops.
