Actually, the tax cut was, by design, hard to notice. Faced with evidence that people were more likely to save than spend the tax rebate checks they received during the Bush administration, the Obama administration decided to take a different tack: it arranged for less tax money to be withheld from people’s paychecks.

People seem to forget that Obama signed into law the largest tax cut in the history of the United States.

Obama gives a small amount on one end, but costs us a large amount at the other end. Obamacare is expected to cost $1 trillion, $65 billion dollars in the first 6 years, not counting the insurance mandate that will cost an additional trillion dollars. CBO Adds $115 Billion to ObamaCare's Price Tag - Hit & Run : Reason Magazine Since Obamacare is supposed to not add to the debt, that means $1,065,000,000,000 in ADDITIONAL FEDERAL TAXES that must be paid by the citizens (probably plus interest, considering our fiscally criminal leaders).

States are sucking their citizens dry for income to meet additional Federal mandates, which is pretty much the same thing as raising Federal taxes even more.

From the cite: "Others saw their take-home pay shrink as the amounts deducted for health insurance rose. And taxpayers in more than 30 states saw their state taxes rise, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities."

For the record, my family only got a portion of the "tax break" because we're considered "rich" (2 professional wage earners with over 35 years experience in our fields). We will, however, bear the full costs of the Federal mandates, and our employers have already notified us of our double-digit increase in health care premiums, higher deductibles, and lesser benefits that were a direct result of Obamacare.

The employee bears 100% (or more) of the cost of Obama's employer mandates, since costs are always simply dropped on the party with least power. Thanks to our government's encouraging open-door immigration policies, combined with government policies that flood the labor market with college graduates, the party with the least power today is Labor.

Right-

Only to have the tax rates all increase Jan 1st. Gee, I almost forgot, that is in addition to

1. reintroduction of the marriage penalty
2. death tax
3. elimination of most deductions for charitable contributions
4. increase capital gains tax
5. increase tax on small buisness S corps
6. Buisness Obamacare tax
7. increased "payroll tax" for Obamacare
8. Elimination of many business deductions for depreciation

I guess only a fool would call Obama a "tax cutter". Or perhaps a liberal would do the same.

It was something like $4 a week, or $10 a pay.. The cost increaes you mention is what the OP is forgetting. These policies are a complete disaster.. The tax increases on those who have them, have to pass those costs onto the consumer meaning WE ALL PAY MORE..

These liberals would be completely happy if they had $0 taxes, but bannannas cost $5.99lb due to taxes because they think they'll getting a free ride.. If only the OP could understand this basic FACT..

Yeah..I recall somewhere between $7-$10 per week.
That would be one large Papa John's pizza...with a coupon of course to stay within the amount.
That's some simulating...a pizza per week for 52 weeks !
