Americans (and America's corporate media) do not like investigative journalists.

That wasn't the point of this thread, but you are the one that brought up non Citizen voting. I am simply pointing out, that is nothing new.

Fail, BP and Shell are both hugely into the renewable sector. Shell was giving funding to the CRU.... I don't recall anyone complaining about that.

They bet on renewables, lost, and are now trying to recoup what they lost.

The buying of America

If I recall, the banking and finance industry the supplier 40% of all monies used for campaigns in ALL of our politics, parties matter little as any savvy investor wouldn't put all their eggs into one party... hello.

I realize this thread will end up another partisan who is funding who more, tit for tat, but lets face it, both establishment political parties in America are beholden to the huge sums of money it now takes to run a campaign.

Its much like the media liberal/conservative argument, where most people just simply ignore the simple truth that media conglomerates are corporate for profit endeavors, and are often owned or tied to various other corporate interest like oil and energy or finance, or the defense industry.

While folks argue over the left and right, those who provide the funding chuckle like a parent watching a foolish child. After all, why would they really care all that much which party wins what election, as both parties come a knockin every election cycle to lick the boots of their master.

A nation of sheep ruled by wolves, owned by pigs is one of the better characterizations I've heard, because in many cases it fits.
