And you base this ridiculous claim on what? Obama's attempt to rename the Iraq conflict for his own political gain?

You should be ashamed of yourself for marginalizing the sacrifices of American soldiers that are still fighting and dying for something as meaningless as trying to gain political points.

You should be ashamed of yourself for condoning sending young Americans to their deaths...

U.S. Troops in Iraq Now Below 50,000 Target - FoxNews.com

Under Obama's plan, American forces will no longer conduct combat operations but are instead to train Iraqi troops and help with counterterrorism operations — if asked for by the Iraqis.

I didn't condone it. Congress did, Democrats as well as Republicans.

There are still 50,000 troops in harms way. 4500 Special Operations troops are still conducting offensive operations. Obama's claims of the war being over are nothing but a load of political crap.

Perhaps had you spent some time in a combat zone rather than comfortably sitting behind a computer keyboard posting scores of unfounded partisan nonsense you'd have some small measure of understanding as to how offensive your claims are.

Offensive my claims are?... Sounds like you still want to go to war... but you are still wrong...

"Today, in line with President Obama's direction and as part of the responsible drawdown of forces, U.S. military force levels in Iraq are below 50,000," the statement read.

"U.S. military forces will transition to Operation New Dawn, effective Sept. 1, 2010," it added, referring to the change in operation name from Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Under the agreement between the U.S. and Iraq, all American troops must be out of Iraq by the end of next year. The troops now remaining in the country will mainly be responsible for training Iraqi security forces.

No, Ive been to war. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

You're once again quoting Obama talking points rather than looking at the reality of the current conflict. You stick with these points out of blind partisan loyalty, youthful ignorance, a love of argument, or some combination of the above.

Regardless of your reasoning it remains disrespectful to the sacrifices of the troops on the ground.

Carry on with your pointless partisan hackery. I'm done with you.
