How do these people get access to unlisted telephone number data? I, like others, am being inundated by these phone calls/messages, which yes, I know I can just hang up on or delete from my answering machine (after the memory fills up and I lose real messages).

I want off these lists. How do they get the information? The Board of Elections doesn't provide phone numbers to candidates.

How does one get removed? Frankly, I am tempted to vote against any candidate that calls my house. It's harassing. Do they really think harassing people at their homes is an effective campaign technique?

I can't wait until this election is over.

I have my ringer turned off on my land line. I only use it for outgoing calls. I know one way Democrats got people's unlisted cell phone numbers and I mentioned Dems were all being duped into giving it out at the time.

Remember when you could get on a list so when Obama picked his Vice President running mate, you'd all be text messaged the same time as his announcement? Total ploy by the Democrats to get your phone numbers for future donation solicitation and campaign calls.

To be fair, I'm sure the GOP has done similar ploys.

And at least in TN, politicians can call/solicit anyone even if they are on the do not call list. A nice little loophole the politicos built in the law for themselves.
