Liar, you state the rich don't pay taxes. Well according the the treasury dept, the top 1% of earners earn about 20% of all income earned, but pay about 40% of all income taxes paid.

By the time you get down to the top 6%, you are referring to people that pay about 80% of all taxes paid.

Now, liar, find a priest, confess you sins, and sin no more.
As the bottom of the scales increase the top will get taxed more.

Where is the breaking point ? When 70% are paying no income taxes and the country is being carried on the backs of those 30% that do pay taxes ?

We're at 47%-53% as of 1-2 years ago. With job losses we may have well hit or crossed that 50/50 line.

That indicates nearly 50% of this country are pretty poor.
Address the poverty. Keep looking to the top to pay more and that bottom portion will grow and grow.
Pay no attention to what he says.

You peopl just keep kicking the living crap outta that duck that lays them golden eggs. Such gaul, laying golden eggs!!!! That's is, keep kicking it, teach it a lesson, kick the hell outta that greedy duck. Kick it until it lays nothing but duckie-poo and blood clots, and then we will all be soooo happy in our abject poverty.

Yah, keep kicking it you morons.

the study that boortz indicates shows that the rich work far more hours and have far less leisure time than the poor do.

The redistribution of wealth from the middle class to the wealthy class during the Bush years ruined the economy. The wealthy are now going to be expected to do their patriotic duty and support the recovery. After it's all over, they'll still be wealthy.

When someone works 80 hours a week, let them earn twice as much. If someone has a very sought-after profession, let them earn twice as much.
So all in all I think it is OK if someone earns 4 or 5x as much as someone else. Having said that, when someone earns 100 or more times as much as someone else (who is not unemployed), then I think being rich becomes a problem for society as it is perceived as an injustice.

That's one of the most absurd statement I have every read. There was no redistribution from the middle class to the wealthy class. It's a LIE.

So if the top 10 % payed 70% of the taxes you would say they pay enough?

They can afford a boat though. Remember that $200K person is also RICH according to the government.
And that person making $200,000 isn't going to see a tax increase, its incomes over that amount, and the increases for those who aren't that far over it will be small since the cuts on the bottom $200,000 of income for singles and cuts on bottom $250,000 of income for married couples will remain.

You would say something like that....

Unlike YOU however, they earned the right to their lavish lifestyles. Tell me, if it's easy to get to where they are at, why aren't you there yet?
