Agreed but they have a pretty good scam going, tell the sheeple any kind of BS that comes to mind and make many millions from people who dont even understand the concept of accountability.

Sorry, I don't understand what you're saying. Do you really not know what he's doing on this trip? Do you think it's a vacation? I know some RW blogs are trying to insinuate that though none that I've seen have actually explicitly claimed so; maybe you picked up on the dogwhistle?

I did see what Glenn Beck's show was telling you was Obama's trip agenda, on a video clip of his "Is Obama gonna get beheaded? I dunno!" episode. ("Some people say that it is up to $2 billion for 10 days. Is that true? I don't know! The media is bickering back and forth about what the real cost is and how many ships will be there — 34 warships possibly. I don't know! Two hundred million dollars a day while in India. I don't know!")

(Some people say right wingers are incapable of parsing this crude manipulation technique. I don't know!)

His board said Obama's schedule was

/
Talking to survivors of the 2008 attacks
Visiiting the Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum
A roundtable with entrepreneurs
Visiting a local school to mark Diwali ("I guess the biggest annual religious holiday for Hindu and Sikhs")
Hosting a townhall meeting

How stupid does he think you are? Pretty stupid, if you ask me. Do you like being insulted that way?

Not true. Criticism of any politician is a duty.

Wow, talk about lame - the best you've got is to inject Glen Beck into the discussion? How can I be insulted by someone I don't even listen to? You make me think of that nice woman on TV who was so exhausted by her efforts to defend Obama and his agenda...

Agree, I did wander off into a beck fit, but the questions to you in the first paragraph remain.

The President is making this trip for economic reasons I believe. India is a huge market for American technologies and weaponry. One of the few things we still make and import is military airplanes/high tech weaponry, and India is now in a position to purchase. They can buy them from us or another country. As of now, India has very limited trade with the U.S. due to many political reasons. However, Obama is trying to remove this restriction and improve the trade with this country. U.S. military weaponry and technology could help India improve its national security and help the U.S. economy by producing more jobs. Both countries could benefit from this deal. In addition, India is very important to the U.S. and our relations/interests with Pakistan and the war in Afghanistan. India and Pakistan have long been at war over control of Kashmir, and the Pakistan/India relations figure prominently is our dealings with Afghanistan.

Default This seemed a propos...

Quote:
...the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.
The right-wing echo chamber know their classics, it seems. And their audience.
