I heard the figure and couldnt possibly believe it to be true.. Over $1B for a visit to another country? Unbelievable....

Why are we paying for reporters cost to travel?

And why are we denying american citizens the right to carry arms? The Constitution covers citizens, regardless of where they are..

I'm enough I voted for this jackass. Haven't been a 'foolower' (sp intended) for several months now. Hope all that are unemployed or underemployed are prepared to take 'whatever' you can, because this jackass is just going to keep spending in ALL the WRONG places.

In the first place, before I get all bent out of shape, I'd like to see the accounting of that figure. If it includes fixed costs, as well as the specific costs of this trip, it would be misleading.

Also, I'd like to know if that figure is for the whole 10 day trip, or just for Mumbai. Presidential travel is never cheap for any President, and the longer he's gone, the more places he goes, the more it costs.

For instance, did you know operating just Air Force One costs roughly $56,000 per hour? On this trip, he'll fly about 30,000 miles. At 500 mph, that's roughly $336,000 just for that one plane.

Unlike most everyone else here, I'm not willing to accept that figure without question. You shouldn't be either.

But...then you wouldn't get to yell and holler, would you?

Maybe the new Congress will actually pass a balanced budget and put this POTUS and First Lady on a strict travel budget/allowance.

What is an 'mn'?

The page didn't open from the link you provided so I couldn't read the article.
