Why do people criticize Bush for his response to Katrina anyway?

The feds got well over 50,000 people out of there in 6 days. Contrary to what people think, it was by far the most sucessful rescue mission in history.

People of New Orleans and the U.S. should praise Bush for his response to Katrina. It could easily have ended up with tens of thousands dead. Thankfully, because of George W. Bush the damage was mitigated.

That's right folks, 9/11, Iraq, Katrina, the housing bubble and financial crisis ain't got nothing, and I mean NOTHING on getting your feelings hurt by Kanye West.

Obama's been called much worse by the Right. Time will tell whether or not this name-calling will constitute the nadir of his presidency.

One thing's for sure, Democrats certainly don't seem to have a monopoly on self-victimization.
Bush exact words were "it was the most disgusting moment". Quite the different meaning from "worst moment". Did you actually read the article?

being called a racist is something that would reflect on your family. I think he knew how his parents would feel if some thought he was a racist. G.H. Bush made it clear early on in his career he was not racist. He would of expected no less of his sons.
IMO performing artist who make political accusations lose stock. I think Pink and the Dixie Chick had "Anti-Bush" moments that they wish they could do over. Kanye should of just went to New Orleans and got busy in the muck helping people and did it with out fanfare

The title of the article is "The Worst Moment of My Presidency." It's right there in your quote. Where does it come from. Hmm, have to read the article to find out. Won't you?

MATT LAUER: You say you told Laura at the time it was the worst moment of your Presidency?

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH: Yes. My record was strong I felt when it came to race relations and giving people a chance. And-- it was a disgusting moment.

Delusional again....your quote above is Matt paraphrasing Bush, not Bush's quoted words. Read the article closely and the exact quoted words Bush actually uses "most disgusting moment".

Nice delusional spin, but won't work. Sorry. I know today is tough for you, what with the bosses not exactly feeding the talking points, but licking the wounds instead.....

I am glad he was in office on 9/11 instead of Gore. Enough said.

The title of the article is A LIE... But its the same Huffington POS that you guys keep reading. I would wish you guys would stop reading news stories that LIE to you about what was said, but for some odd reason you guys seem to be attracted to it...

It's the article's title, which you yourself quoted. I can't help that.
