Olberman is a loose cannon with an outsized ego and is clearly unstable.

Business News from TheStreet.com

"The move is doubly significant in that it represents a major development in the relationship between Griffin and Olbermann, who once told the New Yorker, "Phil thinks he's my boss.""

Well the guy who thinks he is Olberman's boss suspended him. I don't think it will sit well with that nutbag.

That's too bad. I was hoping for a new show that would actually make me want to tune in to MSNBC.

Too bad an anti-America idiot like that even has a job on the air at all. The fact they are allowing him back on at all will make me think even less of the More Socialistic Nutjob Bs Company.

MSNBC: Keith Olbermann Suspension Ends Tuesday
250,000? Well, that's just about his whole audience right there. Seems to me his "indefinite" suspension was shorter than a Lindsay Lohan prison stint. I still think it was a publicity stunt. Everyone will tune in on his day back to see what he will say, giving his ratings a shot in the arm.

Say, isn't November sweeps month? That is, based on your November ratings you can charge more for advertising. I know it's sweeps month for the broadcast channels. I'm going for publicity stunt and MSNBC was in on it.

Um.. they started petitions asking for his reinstatement.. That doesnt sound like they are holding him accountable, it sounds like they want him let off the hook. .

MSNBC: Keith Olbermann Suspension Ends Tuesday
Do you think you will be able to survive till Tuesday, without someone telling you how to feel, what to say, things to do?

Default Comcast's influence over NBC: Was Olbermann's suspension a warning?

"What happens to MSNBC post-merger?.... "Right now, it’s providing the only response to Fox News. Comcast won’t want to irritate Fox - you can’t be a pay-TV distributor without Fox News, in the same way that you can’t be a pay-TV distributor without ESPN. Fox News is a truck running downhill."

Susan Crawford sees hints of Comcast in Olbermann suspension - The Hill's Hillicon Valley

Some pretty good, if roundabout, RW research on this issue:

Keith Olbermann Suspension, Comcast to Ditch MSNBC? | DBKP - Death By 1000 Papercuts - DBKP

this is what happens when only a few gigantic megacorporations control the media. Obama's Marxist FCC is against that, of course.

See these warnings from 2003, when Michael Powell's Bush-era FCC deregulated ownership and this one from around the same time.

OK, whatever!

Just fine and dandy when Democrats were talking about knocking Limbaugh, Hannity and Levin off the AM airwaves last year. Now we gotta have a benefit for the brain dead windbags at MSLSD?

I just hope Madcow gets her walking papers too. I certainly applaud Comcast for taking the initiative, and perhaps a first step, to turn MSDNC into an objective news organization. Dumping Olbermann is a good first step, though I would have also canned Mr. Mann.

Would you like it if, say, George Soros bought a majority stake in News Corpse, and turned it into "an objective news organization"?

See.
