I watched Darrel Issa last night. He said, and is quoted as saying before, their job isn't to impeach the President, its to keep them from breaking the law.

The power of subpoena has become just another legislative tool.

I actually like Darrel Issa, he's one of my favorite Republicans.

i agree with this statement. the republicans were sent to congress to rein in government spending and taxes, as well as regulations, and promote an environment where businesses can start up or expand and create jobs to improve the economy. if they spend too much of their time in meaningless investigations, then they will end up on the scrap heap of history.

Once their bag of tricks wears thin, I'm sure they'll at least think about and maybe threaten it.

I'm counting the days.

The only thing you can do is make the best of it, hope he doesn't sell us off to China, disarm all of us, tell us who our doctors can be, or let North Korea nuke us into oblivion I think we'll all be ok.
Seeing the Republicans did this long ago, that would be impossible.

You can't impeach someone because you don't like what they do. If it's within the law, you have no case. And it's a ***** to even find an impeachable offense, even with a loophole. Because if you go through all that rigamaroll and dude STILL doesn't get impeached, you look like a fool for wasting the taxpayer time and money.

But, so Issa was just grandstanding all last year, to do his bit to ensure the bear-baiters would vote R this year? That was... slimy.

I think they could impeach him, but I doubt they will because it would not be good for our country. I just hope they make some rules about disclosure of birth and other records that will keep him from being able to run again. Our constitutional rules have been stomped on and I don't want to see that happen twice.

What a waste of time. People on the far side of what ever party the president is not on has been doing this BS since Nixon. After that the extremist got impeach happy and they ignore that all it dose is spend tax payer money. Impeaching Clinton cost over 7 million tax payer dollars and it achieved absolutely no gain for anyone. Then there was the BS to impeach Bush, Now Obama.
It's stupid and dose nothing for the betterment of the nation. When a sitting president is impeached it only hurts the country.
