What an ongoing disaster this bail out has become.
Seven Clunker Cars To Avoid
Quote:
All seven vehicles on our roundup of 2010's biggest clunkers come from GM and Chrysler.
Meanwhile across town, Ford ups the ante with an improved product line and no bail out money.

The seven cars cited were clunkers before the bailout, what makes you think that throwing more cash at these car lines would make them better?

You would have a valid point if a newly developed vehicle from Chrysler or GM was on the list.

And Ford is dropping the Ranger, which probably should have made this list.

I didn't think throwing cash at the car lines would make them better.
That was the point

And the Ford Ranger did not make the list.

The key and as the article mentions GM and chrysler sales have soared since the Obama bailout. That is one, if not the biggest success story we can give to O is saving the backbone of america.

The real reason why GM and Chrysler were bailed out was that it was cheaper economically than letting them fail. The fact that you don't realize that speaks volumes to your ignorance of the automotive industry.

And yes, I know the Ford Ranger didn't make the list - that's why I said SHOULD instead of DID. But the Ranger's features are less than the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon and its quality is at best on par with the GM offerings.

I am not ignorant of your point, it just isn't a valid one.
And all the wishing in the world on your part isn't going to put the Ranger on the **** list, so you can quit mentioning it anytime.

The two welfare children needed bail outs because they were broke from being poorly managed and building an inferior products and as we can see as of 2010 continue to do so, except now it's our taxpayer money they are burning through.

What union local do you belong to?

Depends how you define "better" eh:

From the article:
"Even though General Motors cars account for nearly half of the models on this list, it's not all bad news for the manufacturer: The three brands that saw the biggest year-over-year increases in new U.S. registrations are also Buick, Cadillac and GMC."

That is exactly why the right is finding ways to trash GM and Chrysler such as we see in the OP's irrelevant post and link.

I don't believe inflated sales numbers are sustainable when your product makes lists like these:
Quote:
To determine 2010's biggest clunkers, we revisited a series of worst-of-the-worst lists, starting with our own The Most Dangerous Cars On The Road, Most Dangerous Trucks on the Road and Cars that Lose Their Value the Fastest...We also looked at the 34 least-reliable cars as rated by Consumer Reports, and all vehicles that received a score of two stars or less on JD Power and Associates' annual dependability ratings

Quality is irrelevant to sustainable sales? I'm guessing you have no real world experience in that arena.

And I am not trashing them, I am reporting the fact that they have trashed themselves.
