so we pull out of Iraq and all the bad guys go away? and I suppose it's better to fight a war in our back yard too? then it only makes sense that islam suddenly actually becomes a religion of peace and decides to maintain it's current boundaries?
Yeah keep puffing if you think that being in the middle of someone else's communal civil war is sound policy and that we can actually "do" much in that scenario.
I don't believe our objective should be to win the war, but to train and educate as many Iraqis as possible to be able to govern Iraq in a democratic fashion. My main concern is when we leave, one of the other factions will succeed and overthrow and eradicate all that we attempted to do for the people. And this scenario is what concerns a great many people.
I support our troops 100% and each one has a piece of my heart. What I don't support is our administration and the war.

puff, puff, pass please
The "fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here" line is a load of BS.
umm, how many field missions have you been privey to? and how many people have you met (and actually talked to) that have been over there? they are sick freaks and they find this stuff all over the place.. the damn baath party had a place they called Monkey Island where they kept young boys just to have sex with them. I've never looked that up on the intraweb to see if it's public knowledge, but this guy I used to work with told me about how the group he was with went in there and the crap they saw. WAY too gorey to mention on a board like this..
the other irony is all the infidel products they find too. Tons of US movie DVD's, Levi's, Nike shoes, porn mags and movies (American), video game consoles. You name it, if they preach against it they have it stashed away..

You don't really expect people to believe that you have the finger on the pulse of 1.3 Billion Muslims just because you've been "over there", or know people who went into a Baathist hangout, do you? Baathists represent all of Islam, do they?
I imagine a young radical feeding his fellow terrorist compatriots the same line of baloney, only about the "horrible and disgusting" perversions he saw in America on a trip.
