He asked you a direct question and you have come to regret your direct answer.

Live with it.

NORAD failed to protect the Eastern seaboard. That was their job and they failed. Part of that protection is to protect Washington DC and the Pentagon, end of story!!!

Once again, you demonstrate with great vigor that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Pray tell... what was NORAD's mission on 9/11/2001, and how did it fail to accomplish it?

End of the story as fiction goes. Now let's hear you try to get a handle on the facts.

Norads job is to protect the 'seaboard' from FOREIGN missile invaders

if a russian, or cuban missile had been coming in norad would have taken care of it. this was a airplane from within CONUS (not OCONUS..you do know the difference, dont you????)

do you WANT norad to 'shoot' down every flight????? if so, then say goodby the the airline industry

Don't let him off the hook that easily. You forgot the defense from flying monkeys too.

Oops my mistake NORAD is not a air defense system it's for tracking Santa!

NORAD Tracks Santa is an annual Christmas-themed entertainment program produced under the auspices of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). Every year on Christmas Eve, "NORAD Tracks Santa" purports to follow Santa Claus as he leaves the North Pole and delivers presents to children around the world. The program starts on December 1 with a "Countdown Village" website.
The program is in the tradition of the September 1897 editorial "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" in the New York Sun.[1]

Good thing Santa keeps his transponder on
