As several newspapers throughout all of california and the nation's national newspapers have been reporting all year, the number of illegals crossing the border into California has plunged over the past 2.5+ years thanks to a double-digit unemployment rate, as well as thousands of lost construction jobs due to the housing collapse (a situation which is not about to improve anytime soon), and numerous other problems.
Consequently, the amount of money which illegals have wired to Mexico has also collapsed, which is more bad news for the citizens of Mexico and their government.
The increase in population has indeed been engineered by high birth rates for Hispanics as opposed to US residents, and the state continues to spend far more money than it takes in, and has multi-billion dollar deficits lined up well into this decade, with default being the only option.
Apparently you don't see because nothing you said is true, Dell is still based on Texas but like most if not all computer manufacturer (including those based in CA) they manufacture a lot if not all of their products overseas. Halliburton didn't "move to Dubai", they relocated some of their corporate offices there during an expansion leaving thousands of jobs in Houston. I'm not sure where you got your scientific facts about "half the TX corps...." but if it's anything like your other facts I suspect it's false as well.
Apple, HP, most of the super computer and early business machine makers, Packard Bell (huge in the 70's to the 90's), and numerous other big names were all based out of California. Texas had just one maker of note, Dell (who doesn't even have a factory in Texas any more).
Ever hear of a little company called "Texas Instruments"?

I was working in the industry at the time, dealing directly with vendors from all over the country - most were in Texas. You were what - in elementary or junior high school?
Yeah, I'm the one that has no idea what I'm talking about...
