I'm flying to Switzerland in a few days to visit a friend. I'll go for the scanners. I don't care - whatever's fastest.

If some dude in a little room wants to look at an outline of my bits and pieces with my face fuzzed out - it's not really a huge concern. I hope he enjoys the show.

I would personally hate that job! Look at 80% of the people you see walking down the street. I wouldn't want to see them pseudo naked!

I've been scanned more than once. No one patted me down. I have no issue with it.

Men never care, I was surprised that one man made a big deal out of touching his junk.

My husband forgot his belt and they had him in the scan line. The women saw that his pants would fall down if he put his hands over his head so she told him it was his lucky day and let him through. That probably couldn't happen now.

We don't travel anywhere because most of our family lives close. This year my daughter will be flying home but the airports she uses are won't have scanners, at least not at the gates she will be using. I guess the short commuter flights don't rank high on terrorists lists.

I fly quite frequently although not travelling this holiday - I have no problem with being scanned or patted down - I will choose whatever looks quicker.

I'll take either over the risk of being vaporised mid-air because a terrorist got on board with explosives and I frankly can't understand why people are making such a performance about the new measures.

The Israeli method of screening works much better than having some idiot with a GED feel us all up.
Thats what we need to be doing.

I certainly agree that it would be a less intrusive method - but, as other posters have pointed out on a separate thread, the volume of passengers in and out of Israel is far smaller than that of flights within and to and from the US. I think it would simply be too time consuming

I agree with your point about the GED!

I am sitting in the San Diego Airport waiting for my flight to Denver.

Just went through the scan.

My advice to all of you: Get over it.

It is absolutely no big deal.

The Israelis don't mess around. Even the women soldiers there walk around with machine guns!
