Ron Paul spoke and said he was submitting a bill regarding the new TSA procedures. Here it is. He said one paragraph and by golly..it's one paragraph..short and to the point.

I sent an email to my Congressman urging support.

He wrote a nice editorial today which had the link to the bill he filed:
http://www.financialsense.com/contri...minal-suspects

H.R. 6416: American Traveller Dignity Act of 2010 (GovTrack.us)

To ensure that certain Federal employees cannot hide behind immunity.

No law of the United States shall be construed to confer any immunity for a Federal employee or agency or any individual or entity that receives Federal funds, who subjects an individual to any physical contact (including contact with any clothing the individual is wearing), x-rays, or millimeter waves, or aids in the creation of or views a representation of any part of a individual’s body covered by clothing as a condition for such individual to be in an airport or to fly in an aircraft. The preceding sentence shall apply even if the individual or the individual’s parent, guardian, or any other individual gives consent.

Ron Paul is the smartest person in Washington DC, you can bet he's going to tick off a lot of people with this sort of level headed logic.

This is what the TEA PARTY is all about, limited government but not the elimination of government as many scared people claim.

Concise but rather obtuse (typical). TSA screeners without Federal Immunity are still TSA screeners at the end of the day... the beginning for that matter. How does this bill end the practice of American travelers being subjected to involuntary "stop, question and frisk" procedures just to board an airplane? Too little too late. Those scanners cost millions of dollars and are not going to be retired before even being put into system wide operation. Is it going to take mandatory TSA cavity searches for domestic travelers before more targeted legislation is crafted?

Read that editorial I linked. Ron Paul is libertarian but a registered Republican.
He blasts the Republicans in that article for what they did regarding the Patriot Act and the creation of the DHS. He doesn't hesitate to say the Republicans "did bad".

Sadly, only Ron Paul came forward with legislation.

With TSA in action, it should be referred to as the Pat Act.

I posted this video a few days ago and it got deleted .. evidently, the commentary I wrote below the video wasn't considered commentary ..

If Ron Paul ever ran for President (he most likely never will) .. he would have my vote.
