Let's take a poll to see where folks stand in regards to the new TSA screening procedures .....

I don't find the current polls citing that a majority of Americans are in favor of these new procedures so I am conducting my own poll just to see where my fellow CD posters stand on this issue.

Against it. This is not going to make the US a safer place.

I don't care if they are effective or not, I am against them.

You poll should have one more option:

I'm an American and I'm against the total disregard of the 4th amendment.

Absolutely against it. We need intelligent and effective security, not manhandling by people on powertrips and violations of our person. All this does is give the terrorists even a greater victory.

Just wait until john q public can't avoid them and see what they say, unless its deployed a little too swiftly and the opponents haven't been drowned out quite yet.

I don't have a problem with the naked scanner. I have a problem with the gropings, though. I think there's gotta be a better way to go about it in general so I voted that I'm against it.

FWIW, flying out of Milwaukee yesterday, one guy got a brief pat-down (it appears random) and I did not see any scanners. I'm flying out of Orlando tomorrow so we'll see what their security is like. Thank goodness I didn't have to go back through security for my layover in Detroit...but I'm not sure how it's gonna work for our layover in Atlanta tomorrow. It's interesting that each airport has its own policy on this, or at least their own methods to implement the policy.

Hey, good poll, Chatter.

So far, the Libertarians are whooping the Dems and Pubs.

I don't believe the polls that are out either so Thanks Chatteress.

I have spoken to about 25 people about this & only 1 agreed with it "if it keeps us safe".

Of the rest, most not only disagreed with the new rules but, were angry about it.

So far this poll just goes to confirm my expectations. The Democrats are the ONLY party with more supporters for than those against. They are falling away into the minority. Americans are taking America back. Amen.
