during the past ten yrs. all terror attacks/attempts against the USA have been by male muslim islamic extremists. no whites attacking, no blacks attacking, no asians attacking. so why dont we profile people in our airports that fit the profile of the male islamic extremist?? agree? disagree?

Profiling is used by law enforcement once a crime is committed, but to do it as a preventative measure - that encrouches upon constitutional rights. Also, the terrorist adapt & change to the tactics (like we all do). When I was in Iraq in 2008 & 2009 - they were starting to use children and Special Needs individuals as human bombs. Now, with all the self-loathing of some Americans - they have recruited blond-blue-eyed Islamofascists to do their dirty work. We come up with a profile and they recruit those who don't fit that profile. This is a war of ideas - not race or physiological makeup.

Profiling doesn't necessarily have to pertain only to one's physical appearance. We should be reviewing travel patterns and what countries people frequently/recently traveled to and from. People visiting middle eastern countries or ties with organizations known to support terrorism should be selected for further investigation and security clearance prior to boarding an airplane.
There are no foolproof absolutes, but I think most people agree that subjecting grandma to body scanning and pat-downs is ludicrous.

Conservative right wingers would love to allow racial profiling.

I would agree with you. But I get the impression (from the OP) that, what you stated, is not what they were talking about.

That violates the 4th amendment so absolutely not.
