No idiot TSA agents involved? No xray screeners? No personalized pat downs? When will these "tools" become useful in catching a terrorist I wonder?

The "measures" are a ruse and a sham. Is concerning that those ill-informed, fearful and lacking good common sense are so willing to go along with these obvious basic rights violations.

Good job by the Oregon FBI agents who caught this scumbag. May he never see the light of day again. I have been to the tree lighting ceremony in Pioneer Square in the past, thousands of people gather for that wonderful tradition annually. It could have been a terrible tragedy. Home grown terrorists are everywhere now, and we have foolishly as a nation, allowed situations like this to become possible, putting our population in peril. Too much tolerance and empathy can be dangerous for those handing it out without forethought.

It's almost hilarious to see the degree to which some people will slant their opinions in order to diminish Obama and praise Bush.

You think the goal of most or all Somalis in America is to set off bombs? I sure hope that's not what you think.

While I don't agree with everything this author is spouting, I do agree that Somalis don't integrate well into society, no matter what country it is:

"I oppose Somali immigrants coming to this country because they are too under-educated to assimilate into our country. According to Doctors Richard Lynn and Tatu Vanhanen, Somalis have one of the lowest average IQs in the world: 64. Why this is so can be attributed to many things: low per capita income, low literacy rate, low life expectancy, low Index of Democratization, etc. But I'm not here to discuss why they are so, but rather to argue that their intelligence level is so low compared to their American neighbors that the culture clash makes it impossible for them to integrate into American society."

The Problem With Somali Refugees from Planck's Constant

From a March 2009 article:

"Officials say a second generation of Somali immigrants is becoming increasingly radicalized and could pose a growing threat to security. The warnings come amid the revelation that 20 young Somali American men who returned to their war-torn homeland have been radicalized by a group linked to al-Qaeda.

The FBI is urgently examining links between the youths, who are all American citizens, and al-Shabaab, an Islamist group fighting in the country's long-running conflict."

US facing home-grown Islamic terror threat - Telegraph

I will never forget or forgive the awful pictures of the mutilated corpses of American soldiers being dragged through the streets of Mogadishu.

No one forced this legal adult to incite jihad and plan a terrorist attack. He was more than willing to push the button to annihilate men, women, children and babies. There's no punishment I can imagine that wouldn't be too terrible for this animal.

Am I prejudiced and a racist? You bet. But, then, so is he.
