As a free citizen you are entitled to express your opinion no matter how incorrect. After all how could you, other than creating one out of your own predetermined bias, actually know what being Liberal means, as you, obliviously by your own admission, avoid any one of any Liberal identity? You do not know what a Liberal or Liberalism is; you only know what you think it is. That is known as self delusion and ignorance.

Liberalism starts with the primacy of the individual and attempts to provide political and economic systems that create equal opportunity for all individuals. We do not tolerate systems that enforces the rule that people are constrained by the conditions of their birth.
Liberal placed over the Progressive name, is like Welfare being place over public assistance. It is a label used to mislead the uneducated public.
A liberal Progressive has ideas that are anything but liberal in the definition of the word liberal.
Same as public assistance being called "welfare"

I stopped at the suggestion that liberals who make the same amount as conservatives will try to get government help.

There's nothing like a poll--which questions a small number of people and then extrapolates the data to include much larger groupings--to "prove" whatever it is you want to prove. This one is no exception.

I have attached an article (non-political) about what makes people happy. I think it is fairly objective. Based on the article it would seem that both conservatives and liberals can be happy.
In summary, it says that the accumulation of wealth has nothing to do with happiness. Happiness is surrounding yourself with a lot of people that you enjoy being around and doing something that you love doing. This could be anyone.

I am an intellectual conservative and quite happy. I have views on all the above, but for me it comes down to fiscal sanity....as long as you don't over tax and spend I can compromise on most else.
