Republican's are pledging to block ALL bills coming to the floor until, like a spoiled temper tantrum throwing infant, they get their way.

Senate GOP pledges to block all bills until tax dispute resolved - CNN.com

Now, I don't blame them for thinking they could get away with it. I mean they've bullied, cajoled and lied about/to President Obama and failures Pelosi & Reid for over 24 months now.

However, I guarantee there will be no consensus on ANY bill even if they Tax cuts came up for a vote, exactly as they want it. They will just move on to the next item on the agenda and do exactly the same, as they have since McConnell's meeting/agenda setting in the conference room of the Library of Congress in 2008.

One of the first items on the new GOP's list of things to do when they come back into session will be to invoke the nuclear option, even though they do not have the votes to pass anything on their own.

So the what should the response to the spoiled brats throwing the tantrum on the floor of the Senate? Just like any responsible, patient and prescient adult would reason:

SHUT IT DOWN.

So, Republican's will be responsible for taxes being raised. Unemployed being cut-off. Etc., etc., etc.

They want to play the game. Let them play.

SHUT IT DOWN.

As with all bullies, you have to stand up to them, and sometimes lay the smack down. So it is written, so shall it be.

SHUT IT DOWN.

Democrats still have the senate, the filibuster, and the veto. The right can act like little children all they want, the left are still running the show
What crybaby and whining would that be? Looks like you whining because the GOP wants the Democrats to follow their own PAY rules

it was Obama that received the most from "rich corporate interests".. Do we need to remind you AGAIN, that Obama was endorsed by Buffet and received the most money from the insurance industry?

Kinda like when the Dems were bullied, cajored, and lied to by Bush when Repugs have control of both houses and the WH.

The BIGGEST reason we had huge budget deficits prior to Obama was not because of overspending, but because of the Bush tax breaks. While overspending is a problem, a large one, it is not why we are in the mess we are in. Bush's tax cuts cut the government's income substantially and what did it get us? The rich got insanely richer and the rest of us lost our jobs, our houses, and membership in the middle class.

The Republicans will stop all spending, then they'll start cutting. They will cut until the Great Depression returns in even a greater form for the majority of us. I agree we need to curtail spending and we need to undo the Bush tax cuts. The Republicans are privatizing the gains and socializing the losses. Thanks, voters. Idiots! They voted for children in adult clothing.
