Nevertheless, here goes the myth of conservative fiscal responsibility vs. liberal irresponsibility.
Blue states are pretty much caring the red states, with an exception of Texas of course. Too bad many of this contributor states are in fiscal dire straits, like California and Illinois. If only some of the money they contribute could stay in the state.... The civil war has been over for almost 200 years, can the red states cut the BS and get to work already???[/QUOTE
Why darlin', you wound me. If only the blue states like California would quit giving my money to people in this state who don't work we would have a deal.
It's not YOUR money, honey-bunny, California contributes more than it takes. Better check your friends in dirt poor southern states, they take your dough lol

Poverty in the cities is concentrated so it's more visible but there is much more poverty in rural America
More poverty? No, that's mathematically impossible.
Far fewer live in rural America. The poverty hot spots are in cities, as already noted by the poverty rate by area residence type, and the top 3 most populous cities are in blue states: http://www.city-data.com/forum/34959059-post381.html
Not sure how you're not getting that. Do you not understand the math? Or what?
Oh, please the Blue Wall is mostly composed of states with high incomes and high rates of college graduates as a percentage of population. Most of these states feature 10+% Democratic pluralities. That is because, in most cases, the Dems are doing well in the upper middle class suburbs. That is mainly due to a distaste in those regions for social conservatism (the stuff that appeals to the rural, undereducated, GOP base).
The Democrats generally win in the North by running up margins in the inner city. The GOP actually holds it's own in Northern suburbs getting about 40-60% of the vote. In some extreme cases like the Milwaukee suburbs even more than that.

Ignoring that national parks, military bases, NASA centers are more likely to be in red states....

Red voters are pretty much caring for the blue voters. The Democrats win by large numbers every voter demographic most likely to be on welfare: high school drop outs, single mothers, race, low income, etc...

Yep. I've already posted Illinois maps. Chicago and the St. Louis area votes overwhelm the rest of the state.

Yup, more of blue states money going to red states as military basis and national parks are a form of welfare.

Sure they are, and that's exactly why the richest states in the nation vote blue while the poorest vote red lol
Yes, and as we all know all of Chicago is inner city with slums and ghettos. Why does Manhattan vote blue?
Do you think Manhattan is filled with ghettos?
