I guess those dark colored professional basketball and football players are really good old white boys in blackface or something. I wonder what the average salary of the races is in professional sports. You are the one who started this. Maybe I watch more of those sports than you do, though.

I wondered why J. C. Watts, one of my favorite Republican politicians, dropped out. I guess hearing him talk about the reason must be like taking him for a liar but I don't think he is lying to cover for those good old boys.

Get caught up with the thread. This one started out being about the 2010 election and you have moved back.

Oh darn, I forgot what race our President is. I am always called a racist because I don't like him and I never stop to think about his race, or lack of it, when I say I don't like him.

You just reminded me about Maxine Waters who keeps getting re-elected by her district because she is promising to socialize the oil business.

Wow this sounds a lot like racism. It sounds like more "victim mentality". I guess is one constantly looks to be offended and constantly looks to feel disrepected, then it becomes a self fullfilling prophecy.

And they didn't get there with an affirmative action appointment. The GOP voters elected them first in their respective primaries when they were running against GOP white guys (meant non-gender specifically) and then in the general election. Why? Because we liked them on the issues. So, can we stop all of this GOP racist bs, now?

Ahh, I see the trend. Republicans elect a few minorities, then minorities will migrate to the GOP, and then a massive white flight to the democrats.

Excellent post! Affirmative action was less about making things "fair" and more about politicians buying votes.

The only news here is that the republicans have finally acknowledged the long standing diversity in their party. Many (yes, lots) African-Americans are republican in the south. I have lots of older relatives that have been republican for 40+ years. Even my 95 year-old granddad has been a long standing republican.
