They have to pass it first then we can find out. And so will our leaders.

Don't you know how it works?

Watch the Republicans filibuster this bill. It will never make it to the Senate floor for a vote.

If you are Mitch McConnell and you've stated the objective of making President Obama a one term President why would you do something to preserve the tax cuts for middle class Americans?

If America loses the Republicans win. That's all they give a damn about.

In other news, I taught my dog how to balance a ball on his nose.

What? It's just as newsworthy as this publicity stunt.

On the contrary, this is one instance where the Republicans are right. Why do YOU deserve a tax cut because you make less than me, but I don't deserve one because I make more than you?

And don't feed me any of that 'civic duty' or 'you can afford it' crap.

The House knew this wasn't going to pass in the Senate which makes this a big waste of time. They need to go deal with the area of disagreement rather than play games with the part that both sides agree needs to happen.

First, it is an extention of the current tax levels, not a cut. Secondly, it is an increase on the most productive, highest eraners. It should be vetoed. Current tax levels should be extended for EVERYONE. No one deserves to see their taxes go up, least of all the job-creators.

I just heard from the Speaker, that Wall Street exucutives got a total of 9 billion dollors in bonuses this year...after record setting profits...and on top of that...republicans, or the elite leaders of that party, want to turn around and not tax them...

So, the super rich not only get 9 billion in bonuses this year...but also extended tax breaks...

These super rich are not creating jobs for no one...

The Replicans haven't broken the mold at all...so much for the tea party...

At least the elite Republicans in Washington...

Interesting, according to the NYT deficit tool the tax cuts for those making under $250,000 cost more than double (nearly triple actually) than those for the so called "rich" earning more than that amount.

Seems unusual since Democrats have claimed for the past 9 years that tax cuts were only for the wealthy, yet 70% of the breaks are for incomes below $250,000.
