The unemployment rate edged up to 9.8 percent in November, and nonfarm payroll employment was little changed (+39,000), the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today
Are these the jobs that are coming back?

Among the unemployed, the number of job losers and persons who completed temporary jobs rose by 390,000 to 9.5 million in November.
What an absolute disaster.
I thought the so-called "experts" were "expecting" a gain of approximately 150,000 jobs last month. Do these people ever get anything right?

Retail trade employment fell by 28,000 in November.
This does not bode well for the Xmas shopping season.
I don't know why people are cheering over these jobs gained in November. Weren't they, for the most part, temporary retail jobs for the holidays? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
And to think both Obama and Biden have been saying we are recovering.
From what?
2 recessions in 4 years under the dems watch and control tells us the complete story.
The stimulus is a total waste.
Wisconsin Governor elect asked Obama to not give them the billions for a useless high speed rail but instead to fix the bad roads and bridges in his state that would create tons of new jobs. The Obama admin said no, the money goes for high speed rail or you do not get it.
That bad guy Bush had 52 consecutive months of jobs growth. Obama is now MINUS 19 and counting.
There may be some kind of disconnect where people are spending money with no plans to pay their bills when they come do. The government is doing the same thing, for crying out loud.
Devastatingly, what is it now, 11 consecutive months of job growth?
....and unemployment numbers have not dropped, they just rose.
Denial is not a river in Egypt.
