My one word: TREKKIE. That's right, he's going to places that no person of color has ever gone before. Yep, that's right. He's the guinea pig, so to speak. Our country gets to find out what happens when someone who is not part of the Old Boys Network gets elected by the people (by a large majority of the American people, at that). Now, we know. Now we know that our country is filled with backwood hicks, rednecks, bible thumpers (who pray for Obama's death - give me a break), Tea Party presidential wannabe's who say that Obama is a "Christian Muslim" (Palin's words), people who will never accept any form of birth certificate that he can provide, etc.
Basically, what the powers that be want is the driver's seat back. They don't want to see a person of color, different race or creed, or different gender encroaching on what they see is their territory, their "place" in life. We've NOT come a long way, baby, at all.
If Obama would have been given just ONE minute of complete support, it would have made a difference. However, he was hated on and spit upon by those that hated him and wanted him to go away from the moment he was elected. The people that are "worthless" are those people. Really "American" of them. Great job of respecting the democratic process.
Why is it so hard for you to believe that it's his inexperience and his stance on issues that make BO a hard pill to swallow?
The media was orgasmic from the very get go ... it's only until very recently that the bloom is beginning to wear off the rose. So for you to say that he hasn't had complete support is one of the most hysterical things I've heard in a LONG time.
Are you saying that I should cut him some slack because he's black? That he shouldn't be held to as high of a standard because he's not a white man? That I should give him complete & utter devotion because of the historic significance of his presidency?
I choose to vote for politicians who best align themselves with my views - NOT the color of their skin - which is apparently what you do.
I think all of us will remember the place and what they were doing when OBAMA won the presidency like some remember the day JFK was killed. I was at home watching the elections and was so happy I cried like for 10 minutes. Such an emotional and beautiful event.
God Bless America & Obama
When JFK was killed I went home from school. When the grand looser won I was puking in the toliet.
My new word for today is 'Shallow'
It will be more than a decade before any blackman is elected to be President again because of obama.
