You just proved your IQ. You believe mentioning a few bright individuals in your State and or the fact that it has some large corporations makes what I said untrue.

There's not much to do in those states except have a good time filling one's gut, along with downing a 6 pack or 2.

But Oklahoma at no. 46 doesn't have as many blacks as a typical Southern state.

I don't think it's political. Growing up in New England, there was always something to do outside. The summers aren't that hot, and people are always hiking, walking or doing something outside. In the winter, most people go skiing in NH or Vermont. It's harder to have an active, outdoor lifestyle in the south, where it can be brutally hot and humid. Plus there isn't much in the way of winter sports when it gets cold.

All are less diverse and wealthier than the country as a whole.

Regionally, New Englanders are the healthiest; Southerners are the unhealthiest.

It would be interesting to see a debate on this topic between Howard Dean and Haley Barbour. Bring in Bernie Sanders for even more drama.
California has almost 700 billion in debt coming in state union employees lottery styled retirements. There is little money and the state officials hope they Feds have another trillion to throw Califronia's way under the too big to fail thinking.
That is wrong IMO, CA is in the worst shape.

Considering the US population is 70% white, having whites comprise 84% or 85% or more of your population is extremely un-diverse. This is especially true when we compare it to say Mississippi, which is only 60% or white, or even Georgia at 65%.
