I expected to be outraged over WikiLeaks, but then the information started flowing. There was a fascinating story in this Sunday NYT about the attacks on Google by China...they even stole Google's proprietary source code. The more I read this and other stories I couldn't help but wonder, why is our government holding this stuff back? China is ripping off America, why are we supposed to pretend otherwise?

But its not just China, almost every story I've read has left me shrugging my shoulders and thinking big deal. I don't think Julian Assange is an angel, he strikes me as a first class a$$, and I love that Sweden, perfectly comfortable letting him use highly secure, no-questions-asked hosting services, wants to bust him for a broken condom. So much for the Swedish tolerance.

I'm not upset over this latest round from WikiLeaks, but I am upset that our government wants to shield the public from a certain level of truth, even if its embarrassing. I'm also upset with our media, feasting daily on these leaks, when they should have been outing the government in the first place.

I think it would be completely impossible for me to feel sorry for the Federal Government. They have been crooked, lying turds for years and don't even have the common decency to acknowledge how stupid their lies are; they just keep doing whatever they want over and over as they spout their denials. I'd trust a chimpanzee with a loaded machine gun in a room full of babies before I'd trust the Feds.

Better the Government fear the citizens

I'm not upset. Government transparency is a good thing.

Julian Assange is a hero.

Peace at any price is a flawed policy.

War at any price is an exponentially flawed policy.

Wars are won when we are rooted in truth as one Nation. I am not disloyal to my brothers in arms to insist that their mission be SOUND and SANE and motivated by LIBERTY. I insist as citizen that they not be abused and ordered to march lockstep onto blades. I insist as citizen that they not be ordered to be social workers or fight other people's civil wars. I DEFEND my brothers in arms, and the nobility in the hearts of my country.

The poison in the ears of troops is not from the voice of dissent. It is not from their wives pointing out that a man's instinct to defend his family is being abused for nefarious purposes. I am not against that nobility in the hearts of men. I support and defend it with my own life. I am against the poison in their ears giving the marching orders. That poison was fed the GOP from outside and we as a nation are wayward the exact same way we were in Vietnam.

WHO is inspiring my countrymen to declare war on their own countrymen??? What garbage is put in men's ears against their wives? Who put that garbage there? Make them show their faces.
