The Afghanistan cable (dated June 24, 2009) discusses a meeting between Afghan Interior Minister Hanif Atmar and US assistant ambassador Joseph Mussomeli. Prime among Atmar's concerns was a party partially thrown by DynCorp for Afghan police recruits in Kunduz Province.

Since this is Afghanistan, you probably already knew this wasn't a kegger. Instead, this DynCorp soiree was a bacha bazi ("boy-play") party, much like the ones uncovered earlier this year by Frontline.
Probably because of how close to home Dyncorp is to the government and a variety of ex-government officals.
Dyncorp which had three company units sold to Veritas Capital Fund, which is chaired by Robert McKeon who now sits on the Council of Foreign Relations and has massive numbers of highly sensitive defense and security contracts with a variety of government and private government related companies. In addition, McKeon also acquired Kroll Int. which if you google you will see it also had some very close ties with a variety of government agencies, many with high security clearance and access as well as being the folks who ran the command center for Rudy Giuliani during 911 (I'm sure the conspiracy folks will enjoy that)
The other portion of Dyncorp that wasn't sold to Veritas was acquired by Cerberus Capital Management, which is a well known equity holding company. The chairman of this company, John W. Snow was George W. Bush's second Treasury Secretary.
Basically, because Dyncorp isn't too far removed from being a private branch of the US government from anything from mercenary armies, data mining, the development of bio and chemical weapons, to providing security for private heads of corporations and ex government leaders.

Terrorist in this part of the world invade a country that had nothing to do with 911. The difference between a strap on suicide bomber and our terrorist is that we kill by the hundreds of thousands, the others are just amateurs who at most have killed 3000 in a single attack. Hell, we average that every month.
